Christmas was always special, both for Emma and I growing up or for the grandchildren when it was their turn to experience the magical time of year.
I remember what felt like torture in having to pace ourselves with the presents under the tree, but the elation in waking up on boxing day to discover there were still presents left.
I remember your amazing Christmas dinners, your joy at our excitement throughout the day.
I remember your incredible boxing day get togethers for all the family, the one day a year where everyone would be together, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents, distant relatives, friends and more.
Your crazy present games were legendary, causing a frenzy over who would end up with the toblerone.
I remember you taking the Grandchildren to lapland uk a few days before Christmas maybe 10 years ago and getting stuck in a snow storm on the way home, taking you hours and hours to get everyone home safely.
Christmas was always magical and I know you loved making us all smile with your surprises.
Christmas typified everything you stood for, putting a smile on the face of others.
Thank you for all the amazing Christmas’ we had together.
